Community Guidelines & Takedowns
Fly safe. Share your own work. Be decent. That is 90% of it.
Upload rules
- Your footage only. Upload or embed videos you shot or have written permission to share. No re-uploads of other people’s work.
- Safe, legal flying. We do not host footage that shows reckless or illegal flights: flying over crowds, near airports without authorization, in restricted airspace, beyond what the law allows, or at emergency scenes.
- Respect privacy. No footage that intrudes on people in private spaces, and no sharing of identifying information.
- No adult, graphic-violent, hateful or harassing content. No spam, scams or misleading titles.
- Formats and limits. MP4, WebM or MOV up to 200 MB per file, with a per-account storage quota. Longer or 4K footage is best embedded from YouTube.
- Review. Direct uploads stay private until a moderator approves them. Approved content can still be removed later.
Your YouTube channel link
Your profile may show your YouTube channel name and a link to your channel. Links to other sites are not allowed in your profile fields.
Report something
On any video page use Report video. For anything else, use the contact form. We review reports and remove content that breaks these rules.
Copyright (DMCA) takedown
We respect intellectual property and respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement. To file a notice, send it through the contact form (choose “Copyright / DMCA”) and include: (1) your name and contact information; (2) a description of the copyrighted work; (3) the exact DroneLive URL of the allegedly infringing material; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and (6) your physical or electronic signature.
If we remove your content because of a notice and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice through the same form and we will follow the process required by law. We may terminate accounts of repeat infringers.
Enforcement
Depending on severity we may remove content, restrict features, or ban accounts. Questions or appeals? Contact us.
